Word from the Deputy Minister of Defence

Tomáš Kuchta

Dear reader,

As the Future Forces Exhibition & Conference 2014 will be held under the auspices of the Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic, I am taking the liberty of informing you about the active participation of the Czech Ministry of Defence in this extraordinary event that takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, on October 15–17, 2014.

The Czech Ministry of Defence has supported the project on a sustained basis. The exhibition itself, the Future Crises specialist conference as well as other exhibition events follow on the forerunning successful Future Soldier international exhibition and conference series that saw regular participation by the Czech MoD experts and relevant components of the Czech Armed Forces.

From the international perspective, the Future Forces exhibition represents a unique opportunity to obtain latest information on future trends, technologies, materials, innovations in future armaments and equipment, interoperability of military, security and special forces and services.

The Czech MoD’s display and activities in the Future Forces exhibition will be structured along the focus areas of this year’s edition. The Czech MoD will also present promising opportunities for cooperation with the Czech defence and security industries. For the Czech Ministry of Defence, the domestic defence industry is a key and esteemed business partner.

I am confident the Future Forces exhibition will become a prominent gathering place for experts from all around the world and offer ample opportunities for sharing experience and visions.

Mr. Tomáš KUCHTA
Deputy Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic
