The first day of the Future Forces was launched by the Chief of General Staff of the Czech Army Forces, Petr Pavel, burning man and special drones

The great interest of visitors has accompanied the first day of the exhibition „FUTURE FORCES 2014“. Opening ceremony was attended by the highest representatives of the Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence (MoD) and cooperative defense and security organizations. "The Czech Ministry of Defence has supported the project on a sustained basis," described the relationship between Ministry of Defence and Future Forces exhibition Mr. Tomáš Kuchta, Deputy Minister of Defence. Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces Petr Pavel expressed his view that thanks to FF14 Prague has become one of the hubs for representatives of the international security community - companies, soldiers, politicians and experts – to meet and interact on high specialist level.

The FUTURE CRISES CONFERENCE was also launched today, the largest international event on cyber security, which is part of FF14. In addition to the theoretical part, several of dozens of experts and regular visitors of the exhibition could take part in practical demonstrations of phishing attacks on computers and mobile phones.

FUTURE FORCES 2014 is hosting over 130 exhibitors this year. Many of the exhibitors are showing their products in action. There were flying drones from Robodrone Industries above the heads of the visitors, also the passengers were rescued from the crashed vehicle by special knives Victorinox and amphibious vehicle from French brand Argo was driving around in a specially prepared terrain. The company HQH demonstrated their non-flammable materials on its employees. Nobody has burned down!

Special presentations of modern security technologies and products will continue at FUTURE FORCES tomorrow. On Thursday, there will start four international workshops: Open NATO Future Soldier, Open NATO CBRN, Capable Logistician and Unmanned Systems workshop. These workshops are accompanied by panel discussions and live demonstrations of military equipment. Among the speakers there are for example: representatives of NATO, EDA, EUROPOL from countries such as Brazil, New Zealand etc.
