Czech Military to Buy 30 New MRAP Armoured Vehicles

01-01-2013 The Czech Defence Ministry plans the purchase of 30 new armoured vehicles that will be resistant to ground mines. The price of the tender could reach 30 million USD. As per the Czech Armed Forces General Staff, the vehicles should be acquired in 2014-2017. The military wants to buy command and communication types of the MRAP vehicles that will be used by Czech units operating abroad. The planned procurement of vehicles is connected with the OEF and ISAF peacekeeping missions. The new MRAP vehicles will help the Czech Land Forces to achieve the goal of the planned operational capabilities and interoperability.
